Xiaomi on Wednesday launched its new MIUI 7 Upgraded Android Operating System in India. The new MIUI 7 is based on the Android KitKat 4.4 and Android Lollipop. The new MIUI 7 ROM is already available in china and very soon Indian users will get the same, MIUI 7 global developer ROM will be pushed to devices via OTA starting August 24. And the devices which will get this new version are Redmi 1S, Redmi 2, Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi 4i, Redmi Note, and Redmi Note 4G.
At he launch event in Delhi, Xiaomi Global VP Hugo Barra said – “MIUI 7 is a fresh new take on our immensely popular operating system, well-loved by over 150 million users. With so many exciting new enhancements, you will be able to feel the difference the moment you power on your phone running MIUI 7. With more new system UIs to choose from, customised profile videos for calls using Showtime and a variety of personalisation options, MIUI 7 is truly ‘Yours by Design’,”
MIUI 7 comes with lots of new features like 4 newbuilt-in themes, Daily Lock screen, faster than MIUI6, new font size called XXL font, new facial recognition feature, supports 10 Indian languages, Messaging is now smarter, set a 5-second video loop as your profile image.
Xiaomi claims that MIUI 7 is now 22% faster, offers 17.7 percent more battery life and boasts of better RAM management. This seems to very good feature for the MIUI users and they are going to love this. Check out the MIUI 7 Performance Optimization video below:-
